Patti Drescher is an Occupational Therapist and Assistive Technology Specialist for the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). She received her BS in Occupational Therapy from UW-Madison, a master’s degree in Assistive Technology from George Mason University, and a doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from Mary Baldwin University. Patti has been an OT for over 30 years, working in a variety of settings and focusing on assistive technology for most of her career. She has worked in the field of vocational rehabilitation for many years, including as a contractor in Michigan and Wisconsin, and has been with DARS for 12 years. Patti has presented at state and national conferences on handheld technology and assistive technology.
