Youth Protection

Overview of policy, controls, training, and reporting requirements that the University of Wisconsin Stout and third parties need to maintain in working with youth and minors.
In this Section

Programs at UW-Stout or on our property prioritize the protection of minors, and take steps outlined in UW System Administrative Policy 625 and ATCP 78 to help achieve these goals.

Select the path below that applies to you. For questions, please contact the Youth and Minors Protection Coordinator.

For our community organization leaders

My organization wants to use UW-Stout's facilities for our own youth event or program.

Step Zero: Learn!

Step One: Reserve Space with us

Step Two: Contracts

  • After you work with the university to reserve space, your contact will put you in touch with the Youth and Minors Protection Coordinator, and you will be asked sign a contract that includes youth protection requirements.
  • You will be asked to produce a certificate of insurance with the required coverage. University of Wisconsin Board of Regents must be listed as additional insured, coverages must be primary and noncontributory and a waiver of subrogation in favor of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents for General liability, Auto liability and Sexual Abuse and Molestation liability.

My organization wants our youth and minors to engage in UW-Stout's instruction, activities or tour campus.
