Angelica Chernik is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), providing vocational rehabilitation counseling services the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). She is a part of the Student Services Team aimed to assist at promise youth with disabilities; those who are justice involved, foster youth, LGBTQIA+, housing insecure, and mental health. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English from University of California Riverside and an Masters of Arts Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from CSU San Bernardino, and has worked for the department since 2015. Angelica is actively involved in the AATF-Asian American Task Force collaborating with Riverside County & community members to promote wellness resources to AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) individuals, in addition to various college campus partnerships to promote student services. Work background includes education, management, and behavioral therapy for children with Autism. Angelica seeks creative collaborations and partnerships with other community agencies and business to promote DOR Student Services, particularly paid work experiences and internships for youth to have ample opportunities.
