Direct Admit Wisconsin Explained
Direct Admit Wisconsin assures high school students of a secured spot at UW-Stout before starting their senior year, allowing participants to streamline their transition to college by removing the barriers of the application process.

Process to Participate
Confirm That Your School Is Participating. Direct Admit Wisconsin starts in 2024 for the class of 2025. For now, it's for students from select Wisconsin high schools, but more schools will be included soon. If you're a junior (Class of 2025), watch for information from your school about how to opt in by the June 3, 2024 deadline.
Class of 2026 and Beyond: Participating high schools will include the direct admission opt-in and information release form within registration materials as you complete your senior-year registration. This will streamline the process for students and families.
Opt In to Direct Admit. If your high school is participating, the opt-in process is facilitated by your school. All you have to do is tell your school counselor that you choose UW-Stout.
Remember: You must opt in by the June 3, 2024 deadline if you wish to participate.
- Receive Your Direct Admit Offer. After opting in, make sure you're on track to graduate from high school with the right mix of English, math, science, and social science credits. Meet the criteria, and you'll receive an admission offer through Direct Admit Wisconsin in late July 2024.
- Accept Your Direct Admit Offer. Once you receive your Direct Admit Offer, you simply need to accept by completing a Direct Admit form. You can do this anytime after August 1, 2024 (Deadline: May 1, 2025). This step isn't a commitment to attend, it just lets us know you'd like to attend, discover, or learn more about UW-Stout.
