The minor in digital humanities brings together students from computer science, design, professional communication, and other programs to critically and practically engage in cross-disciplinary projects. Such a cross-disciplinary endeavor resembles the spirit and structure of cross-functional teams that are common in today's industry.

Digital humanities is a cross-disciplinary exploration of the intersection and interplay of digital technologies (algorithmic analysis, data visualization, interactive digital media, video games, mobile apps, virtual and augmented reality, etc.) and humanistic areas of cultural production (literature, film, language, art, theater, history, etc.). As such, digital humanities intersects with user experience, experience design, instructional design, human-computer interaction, data analytics, technology entrepreneurship, and information architecture.
