Falkner receives March University Staff Appreciation Award

Senior accountant in Provost’s Office has worked at university for 33 years

Bonni Falkner has received the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award for March at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Falkner, of Elk Mound, is a senior accountant in the Provost’s Office. She also is chair of the University Staff Senate. She has been employed at UW-Stout for 33 years and during that time has earned three degrees from the university.

Bonni Falkner receives the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award for March from Chancellor Bob Meyer.Falkner’s nomination stated: “Bonni is a long-term employee of the university who consistently demonstrates her commitment through her work ethic and her service across campus. Her current position as University Staff Senate chair is a good example of her commitment. Bonni has an outstanding attitude. She is always willing to drop what she is doing to assist others with accounting or budgeting questions. Bonni is an incredible asset to the Provost's Office. She is willing to pitch in when help is needed and constantly keeps what is best for the university in mind in her work.”

Chancellor Bob Meyer presents each winner with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout travel mug and a UW-Stout blanket.

Students, faculty and staff may nominate a university staff member who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the university community.

The award, in its 13th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
