It has been nearly a year since I started my tenure as Chancellor at UW-Stout, and while it has been a period of constant change and significant challenges, the one thing that has remained constant is the dedication and commitment of our employees. I am consistently impressed by the work that our employees do to move the university forward and to support the success of our students. The dedicated and talented group of employees at Stout has become even more apparent during this global pandemic.
Employee Appreciation Day is nationally recognized on March 5th, and UW-Stout will hold a weeklong celebration that honors and supports our employees. The week will feature a variety of events focused on self-care, wellness, and laughter. It has been a challenging year for all of us, and I encourage you to dedicate time to participate in some of the programming in hopes that you will laugh, connect with your colleagues, and do something you enjoy. Information about Employee Appreciation events may be found online.
In addition, a Gratitude and Appreciation flyer has been developed to provide simple, yet impactful ways to show appreciation towards one another. Such actions make a difference on both an individual and institutional level.
Thank you for your continued support and efforts throughout the year.
With sincere appreciation,
