UW-Stout Sensory Space
The Sensory Space is a multi-sensory environment where the primary senses are stimulated through the use of sensory based materials such as white noise device with multiple sounds, a colored light and shape projector, textural 3-D artwork, and fidget devices.
The Sensory Space is designed as a distraction-reduced environment for students to relax and decompress. Students should limit the use of cell phone and laptop distraction to “unplug” and enjoy this sensory enhancing experience. Sensory equipment is intended to remain in the space, but Sensory Space visitors are welcome to take one of the small fidget items.
Sensory Space Location
Room 218 at the Robert S. Swanson Library & Learning Center.
