There were 106,658 graduates with bachelor’s degrees in engineering in 2015. Double majoring can help you stand out from the crowd of engineers. The B.S. in Applied Science – Applied Physics (ASAP) plus the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ME) can be completed in five years at UW-Stout. We call it the ASAP-ME plan.
Many other schools have what is called a ‘3+2’ program where you study physics at one school for 3 years and engineering at a second school for 2 years and come out with a double major. At UW-Stout, you can complete a ‘3+2’ program in the same amount of time without having to change universities.
